HaitiHouse.org Launches Wholesale Direct Container, FlatPackHome™ & Portable Disaster Homes Website
[January 24, 2010 - Thomasville, GA USA] Haitihouse.org (http://www.haitihouse.org), a division of luxury houseboat manufacturer, Harbor Homes LLC, has launched its initial website and corporate response effort to the overwhelming global need for a wide variety of emergency shelters, disaster relief homes, offices, medical clinics, as well as entire village designs for the resettlement of millions of Haitian refugees.
Haitihouse.org is the new wholesale price direct arm of the company and is dedicated to providing affordable, versatile, and mobile home solutions immediately to the market. Formerly a private FEMA contractor, Harbor Homes LLC has an impeccable record producing mobile homes, travel trailers, and more for disaster relief inside the United States. After hurricane Katrina, another division was responsible for building and transporting thousands of park model homes for American families.
Now, Haitihouse.org widens the Harbor Homes commitment internationally and beyond government contracting. In addition to extending sales of their product lines to other government agencies, foreign governments, charities, non-profits, rescue and recovery groups, and corporations, they are also working directly with church groups, and mission organizations.
The full product line is still being posted online at this time, however, visitors to their website at http://www.haitihouse.org can view the first items available for immediate production and delivery. As a custom builder with high capacity, 500 housing units a week, the entire factory operations are poised to assist on a large scale with the recovery effort.
The products include prefabricated ready-for-installation cargo container two bedroom homes, fully modern bunkhouses, shower houses, commercial kitchen/dining and conference units, laundry centers, bathrooms, and office space.
In the fully mobile product line they are able to rapidly produce the same travel trailers FEMA uses, exceeding all indoor air quality testing standards as well. The trailers are suitable for families, or can be easily altered for a combination living space/administrative office or medical clinic. These units are towable by pickup truck and have full kitchens and a modern bathroom.
The larger more permanent park models and mobile homes can also be fabricated in record time using the same quality craftsmanship and materials that will make a Haitihouse.org home every bit as good as any home sold in America.
Haitihouse.org's newest innovation is the FlatPackHome™. This unique portable product can be lifted and moved by a small group of people, then unfolded and installed in minutes with a simple bolt system. No special machinery is needed and the homes are built to last with treated lumber, riveted metal composite roofs, power coated aluminum exterior on galvanized steel frames and other special features meant to support longer-term use in a tropical environment. Pricing for bulk purchases of these emergency disaster shelters starts at $4436 per piece ready-to-assemble.

With their own ability to deliver units using roll-off shipping transportation to alternate Haitian debarking sites they can build and deliver homes/offices and entire villages to Haiti in less time and at lower cost than any other contractor in operation.
